The elusive "Pilates Body"
First of all what is it supposed to mean to have a "Pilates body". How can there be one measure of what a body is supposed to look like when authentic Pilates can be for any age, any size and and shape?! Would a 75 year old be expected to have the same body as a 19 year old? No! Is Pilates only for those who walk in thin and flexible? No! The beauty of real Pilates is that is for EVERY BODY!
So how does one get a "Pilates body"?..... Drum roll please...... you simply practice Pilates! Come as you are and practice for no one else but yourself. Exercise should be a celebration of what your body can do, not a punishment for what you ate.
